You Picked The Wrong Planet! Give Me Your FACE!
SVER Prime and the newly founded Zion Prime are currently fighting for survival. SVER had dropped three districts to Negative Feedback by last Friday. Zion were only down a single district, but fighting was taking place across much of Mimiror IX. SVER Prime was looking to fall into Negative Feedback's hands sometime this week. However, due to a server outage on Sunday, their remaining districts into a safer position from being taken. A write-up for a number of the battles can be found here.
OK, this one should've been posted last week, but now I know.
This isn't the only victory Negative Feedback have from this week. They managed to take most of Hrober and have forced EoN to begin moving out of Tartaven. EoN have now started to push into Cronos' territory. With Orion Empire almost gone and now Unclaimed fighting a war on multiple fronts. It's looking like a Cronos vs ROFL/EoN war is on the horizon.

Betrayal Can Never Be Forgiven
Outside of PC, the Templar Event has been taking place. Despite being delayed a day and the servers going down on Sunday, the Templar event took place. Lowratehitman made a video overview of the Templar Dropsuit.
TEST 2013
Despite their losses in Planetary Conquest and fighting pretty much everyone in Nullsec, TEST Alliance are still going strong. Their Ministry of Truth channel posted this video earlier today.

Frontlines 2: The Careberry Was A Lie
Mistakes Were Made
So I'd like to start this week's Frontlines off with an apology. Last week I made an assumption based on poor research that ROFL was allied to Cronos and Orion. This was quickly brought to my attention as being false and I have since edited the original post. Frontlines' primary purpose is to promote content coming out of Planetary Conquest, with a secondary purpose of giving Molden Heath a storyline that interested parties can look back on.
The so called "Careberry Alliance" therefore doesn't actually exist. It could have potentially been used to describe the relationship between Orion Empire and Cronos. As of yesterday however, Orion holds 4 districts with 3 of those under attack. Considering both this and the name basically being a dumb joke, no further mentions of Careberry will be found on this blog. Readers can feel free to call each other careberries if they want though.
It's A Major Restructuring. I Don't Want To Downplay It
After several large stories last week about subterfuge, it seems many corporations have put preventative measures against it. This has come in the form of moving the main bulk of their forces into holding corporations, so that access to matches is limited and the average grunt can only join when brought in by a squad leader from the main corp. Judging from the drop in chatter about these stories, it seems to have worked. In some cases, holding corps that had held districts were being switched over to the main corp.
Also worth mentioning is the disbanding of Pink Fluffy Bounty Hunterz. The champions of the open beta tournament as well as being the ground forces of the notable Noir mercenaries disbanded shortly after their CEO left due to personal reasons. The members have split off in several directions such as newly formed 'PFB Pink Fluffy Bunnies' and 'Noir. Planetary Regiment'. It's also reported that "some PFBH a-teamers" have joined Negative Feedback. The sudden disappearance of PBFH created a rarely seen (and likely the first) empty district since the 14th this month.
On The Warpath
Several war fronts have emerged as corporations are starting to settle in to Molden Heath.
ZionTCD have taken Mimiror IX whilst fending off constant attacks from ROFL, including a successful AWOX attempt from them. The region Eoldulf has easily been the most hotly contested this week and looks to continue as Zion continue to fight on.
With Orion almost wiped out, EoN and Negative Feedback are now duking it out. With the appearance of an unmolested Goonfeet district amongst the fighting, it is suspected that Negative Feedback are under contract to take Hrober (confirmed by Kane Spero) by the Goonswarm Federation. EoN have also started expanding elsewhere in Molden Heath and may continue to as the assault continues.
The biggest story of the week has to go to Cronos however. Who have grown to hold roughly 90 of the 245 districts in Molden Heath. With What The French expanding into Tartaven, this means they hold districts in most corners of the region and with wars breaking out between the other major players, will likely continue to be dominant.

Frontlines 1: Begun The Clone War Has

D Day
It's was an interesting first week for Planetary Conquest. After a mad dash, the entire 245 available planetary districts had been claimed within minutes of the server going live. The groups leading the charge managed to scoop up the majority of planets, with Cronos taking roughly a quarter of the map, RISE of LEGION (ROFL) taking a fifth and Orion Empire taking a nineth. Cronos and Orion had formed a coalition going into planetary conquest, leaving what will be dubbed the 'Careberry Alliance' (CBA) holding over a third of Molden Heath. Groups such as EoN and Unclaimed managed to claim over a dozen districts each, leaving others to grab what they could.
Lets Go To War
With the stage set, Alliances began slamming their neighbours with Genolution packs. Cronos and ROFL had strong footholds, so began to mop up the districts on planets they already held. This included fighting Ivy League's 'Dust University', with Dust Uni holding their own at first, using their air superiority to school a Catalyst pilot on proper PvP flying. Dust University had claimed the planet weeks ahead of the districts coming online, but sadly fell to Cronos.
Orion Empire were having a much harder time however. Initially taking districts in Tartaven, they were left fighting a war on two fronts against EoN and Negative Feedback. Despite bringing in third parties to help, they lost a quarter of their districts, while EoN grew to match their previous size.
One notable story to come from this was from Hrober VIII district ten. Faced with a full team from EoN and with only enough clones to withstand two more attacks, Orion forces pulled before the ground battle before boots had even hit the ground. With nothing to do, the orbital support that was in place found a lone destroyer that had broken it's cloak by flying too close to the district eight beacon. 'Preacher Garra', the founder and CEO of Talon Strike Force LTD was swiftly blown out of the sky. His frozen corpse now resides within Kane Spero's station holdings.
Frog Blast the Vent Core
The last major stories of the week come in true New Eden style. Several organizations had used sleeper agents to infiltrate enemy corporations. This allowed the agents to pull up to five persons of their choosing into a planetary conquest battle on the enemy side.
Originally starting with a so called "Grief University", the stories began with Dust University being held ransom before their loss to Cronos. This was quickly followed by R.I.f.t from Orion Empire being hit during a fight against Planetary Response Organization (PRO) from Unclaimed. Despite being heavily outnumbered, R.I.f.t claims to have "only lost by 4 bars on the MCC and only lost 180 clones".
With most of the Almur and Elfrard regions under their control, CBA corporation Betamax attacked EoN's Red Guards. Activating a sleeper within the Red Guards corporation, Betamax were able to pull a handful of mercs onto the enemy side and claim an easier path to victory.
While these tactics have proven highly effective, not all subterfuge has been successful. While defending an attack from Hellstorm Inc, Betamax managed to make what should have been sixteen against sixteen into nineteen against thirteen. Despite their inferior numbers however, Hellstorm Inc managed to win convincingly and even managed to provide video footage of the battle.
It's not known how effective this skull-daggery will continue to be, but for the moment it seems to have turned the tide of several battles. Corporations are now considering methods to keep untrusted members out of battles and open recruitment has come to a grinding halt in many cases.
Changing Of The Guard
Finally in a more subtle change since Planetary Conquest began, has been the shift away from trying to use early morning timers to make districts unappealing to attack. Many corporations that tried this have either changed the timers to be more easily defended or lost the districts to people willing to stay up (who then changed the timers themselves).

New Blog Series, Updates To Youtube Content
Looking Back and Looking Forward
So the time has come to start putting a more serious effort into whatever it is I'm doing with Dust. For the most part, I've been charging into things with rough ideas. This has taught me a lot about myself, producing content and where I want to go with things.
When I first decided I wanted to try and produce content for Dust, a friend I'd worked with before said to me, "do you think you're interesting enough?" I've since come to realize he had a good point. At this point in time, CEOPyrex, DStheDrunkHeavy and lowratehitman are all better at doing regular videos that involve themselves talking while playing than I am. In all likelihoods, this will always be the case and I should accept that while moving on to things I am good at. I spent two days depressed about (not) doing a "5 issues I had with Uprising" because talking into a mic for 5 minutes solid is that far removed from my comfort zone. I also spend the hour before each Boots on the Ground with knots in my stomach for similar reasons (although am fine during the show).
So now that I know what my weaknesses are, it's time to focus where I'm strong. Writing doesn't make me nervous at all, so when I have an opinion on something, you'll be finding it here. This might not always Dust and EVE related, but for the most part will be. My other main strength is in being consistent. The only reason you don't see a Boots on the Ground every week is scheduling issues with guests, I could do 2 shows a week and be fine but my method of organizing who comes on the show every week has been lacking. This will need fixed as I plan to make more weekly content.
So with all that said, here's what's coming.
Boots on the Ground
I'm changing how I manage guests for shows starting now. Instead of creating new Skype groups every week, there will be one group that has everyone who is interested in being on the show in. Every week I'll say when the next show will be recorded and people interested in being on the show can message me. If you want in this group you will need the following.

- To be at least 18 years of age (legal reasons).
- A good quality mic and an image of yourself, your EVE/Dust character or a webcam.
- 2 hours of free time that doesn't involve getting scolded by family.

Aside from that, I only need to get some artwork and the RSS feed for audio downloads done, but that will come later.
Frontlines
Frontlines is currently pegged as a weekly show that highlights Planetary Conquest activity in Dust. The rough outline is for the show to last 5 to 10 minutes, talking about Dust and EVE fights that have taken place. Youtube annotations will be used to promote videos of both games for those interested in seeing the action itself. All content on the show will be community sourced.
Threads for this will appear on the "My Dust" and "My EVE" forum sections within 24 hours of this post with an accompanying blog post.
Other Content
I will continue to post more content on Youtube outside of these two shows. This will include but not be limited to corp battles, frag videos, humorous videos (LAV racing), EVE battles and videos to match written guides.
I will also start writing guides for fittings (both Dust and EVE), updates on the channel, thoughts on Dust/EVE/Gaming and more.
For now though, I've got work to do. Boots on the Ground 9 and the Frontlines pilot will be up next weekend. New blog post tomorrow.
